Dunlop Manufacturing , better known as Jim Dunlop , is an American company from Benicia , founded in 1964 , that manufactures accessories for guitars and electric basses . In addition to effect devices such as the well-known wah-wah pedal Dunlop Cry Baby and the modules of the Rockman series , the company u. a. also capos and picks , e.g. B. from the plastic Delrin ("Tortex").

In 2001, Dunlop bought the rights to the MXR effects device brand from ART and was able to expand its range to include other floor effects products for guitar and bass. Dunlop has also been manufacturing guitar and bass strings since 2006.
