Duratius
Duratius was at the time of the Gallic War of the Roman general Gaius Iulius Caesar the chief of the Celtic tribe of the Pictons .
Because of his loyalty to Rome Duratius was 51 BC. Besieged in Lemonum (now Poitiers ) by Dumnacus , the leader of the Andecaves . But he received help from two legates of Caesar, first from Gaius Caninius Rebilus , then also from Gaius Fabius , so that Dumnacus subsequently had to lift the siege of Lemonum.
Duratius' further fate is unknown. Pictorial silver coins were found with his name in the abbreviated form Durat on the obverse. appears.
