Breakthrough work

As a fretwork ( line breakdown ) refers needlework with substances which patterns are worked out by drawing strands or excision of tissue parts by knotting or embroidery can be added. This is how, among other things, lace embroidery is created .

They are traditionally mainly used for whites made of linen or cotton, e.g. B. with tablecloths, table runners, pillowcases, sheets, towels, bags, napkins, curtains, drapes, stores and the like. Ä.

  • Simple breakthrough (punto tirato)
  • Simple hemstitch
  • Ladder stitch hem
  • Zäckchen hemstaum
  • Box stitch
  • Single and multi-row decorative stitch
  • Breakthrough border (with darning stitch, wrap stitch, spinning, guide seam, corded rings)
  • Tufted border (with central stitches)
  • Double breakthrough (punto tagliato)
  • Breakthrough pattern (with tied tufts of thread, with staggered or densely placed point d'esprit filling)
