Push through

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The pressing is a group of production processes from the upper group of the pressure forming . When pushing through, the blank is pushed through a hollow tool. The shape to be generated is at least partially contained in the tool.

A distinction is made between three procedures:

  • Taper : Reduce cross-sections. It can be used for solid and hollow bodies, but is of little importance.
  • Extrusion : Used to produce profile material and other continuous material. It is then cut to the desired length.
  • Extrusion : For the production of individual workpieces, even in large numbers.
