The Durham Gospel Book is an illuminated manuscript from the 7th century from Ireland or England . It is now in the library of Durham Cathedral (call number A.II.17), a sheet in Magdalene College, Cambridge . 111 leaves of the manuscript have survived, with a depiction of the crucifixion of Christ and a decorated initial at the beginning of the Gospel of John .

The manuscript originated in the late 7th century in Rathmelsigi Monastery in Ireland or in Lindisfarne Monastery in England with Irish influences. The Echternach Gospels were also written by the same scribe . She was in Lindisfarne by the 10th century at the latest.
