Dvadashaksharamantra

The Dvadashaksharamantra (Sanskrit: द्वादशाक्षर मन्त्र dvādaśākṣara mantra m. "Twelve-syllable mantra") is a twelve-syllable mantra , and means in particular the mantra for the worship of Krishna Vasudeva . It is one of the most important mantras of the Vaishnava .

According to the Vishnu Purana , the mantra was imparted by the seven wise men , the Saptarishi, the Dhruva . When this man had worshiped Krishna with this mantra for many years, he was moved to heaven as a pole star as a thank you for his devotion, as a symbol of his firmness in faith.
