The krešimir ćosić hall is a multi-purpose hall in the Croatian city of Zadar .
The hall was built for the 2009 men's handball world championship and opened in May 2008. It holds up to 9,000 spectators and is mainly used for handball and basketball games. The basketball club KK Zadar plays its home games here.
The hall has been named after the basketball player Krešimir Ćosić, who died in 1995, since October 3rd, 2008 . Earlier names were Sportski Centar Visnjik and Zadar Arena . The townspeople nicknamed it "Peka" because of the look of the traditional Dalmatian oven.
