Dyneon GmbH is a subsidiary of the 3M group , which annually produces over 16,000 tons of fluoroelastomers , PTFE , fluorothermoplastics and special additives . The products are sold under the Dyneon and Dynamar brands.

Dyneon GmbH in Gendorf, now in Burgkirchen an der Alz , has more than 560 employees in the Bavarian chemical triangle and is represented in over 50 countries. In Gendorf, the areas of production, research and development are covered. Further application and product development centers for fluoropolymers are located in Benelux and Japan .

Dyneon's research brought about advances in the field of fluoropolymers such as the development of fluoroelastomers that can be used down to minus 40 ° C and PTFE with improved properties.

In 1998, Dyneon was 46 percent owned by Hoechst AG and 54 percent owned by 3M.
