EYC was an American pop and R&B group that had several chart hits in the UK in the 1990s . The band's name is an acronym for E xpress Y ourself C learly.

Band history

EYC is originally from California . Because there was no success in the United States, the group moved to Great Britain. There they had a top 20 hit in December 1993 with Feelin 'Alright . In 1994 the trio remained on the road to success, with The Way You Work It , Number One , Black Book and One More Chance reaching the top 20 and top 30 of the UK charts, respectively . Black Book also rose to number 21 on the Billboard Dance chart in December 1994.

1993 and 1994 EYC played as the opening act on the European tours of Whitney Houston , Prince and East 17 . The debut album Express Yourself Clearly was number 14 in the UK in April 1994. After two more chart listings for the singles Ooh-ah-aa (I Feel It) and In the Beginning in 1995, no further commercial successes were achieved, and the 1999 album I Feel It also flopped.
