EAS - Hellenic Defense Systems SA ('Ellinika Amyntika Systimata') is a Greek defense and mechanical engineering group .
history
The group was created in 2004 through the merger of Hellenic Arms Industry SA (EBO) and the Greek Powder & Cartridge Company SA (Pyrkal) weapons factory founded in 1874 .
The largest shareholder is the Greek state. EAS is one of the companies that are to be privatized in connection with the restructuring of public finances .
Products
In addition to armaments, more and more classic mechanical engineering goods have been offered in recent years, for example wind turbines and conveyor systems.
