Group of 3 systems on the Kulmriegel, documented in 1155 Alber de Grimmenstain, sovereign since the 14th century, 16./17. Century part of the rule Wartenstein, Hochgrimmenstein (castle with keep around 1200), Vordergrimmenstein (new building from the 1960s including the medieval Bering remains from the 12th century, outer bailey from the 13th century, 1961/64 partial reconstruction to a neo-romantic residence, since 1980s again decay), Hintergrimmenstein (remains of a tower on a rock, possibly house ze Chuenberg documented in the 12th century)

Note: Lt. Only the “Vorburg” or “Vordergrimmenstein” is a listed building number.

built from 1916/19 as an institution for the military with lung disease, originally a spacious pavilion-style facility , adaptation and expansion in the 1920s / 1930s and after World War II, in 1998 largely razed and rebuilt, the rest of the old facility in a desolate condition.
