Existing as a chapel since 1149, it was expanded in 1948 according to the plans of Martha Bolldorf-Reitstätter and consecrated to St. Martin by Theodor Innitzer as what is now the "Pfarrhofkirche" . The tower has had three bells since 2013, which are coordinated with the peal of the mountain church .

Note: Not protected to the same extent under the ID 55329 until 2017

Mentioned in a document in 1094. A west-east oriented complex, completely surrounded by high bering with bastions (partly 12th century, mostly early modern). Only remnants of the high mediaeval complex have survived: chapel in the north, keep and palas (?), Today's building mostly 16./17. Century. Castle owned by the Counts of Formbach , 1158 to the Styrian Otakare , 1192 sovereign, 1265 to the Stubenberger , 1315 pledging of castle and lordship, then changing owners, in the 1480s to the Teufel family, 1485 conquered by Matthias Corvinus , 1605 from Stephan Bocskai besieged in vain, 1662 Count Hoyos , 1822 to the Count of Pergen, then changing owners. Used as a hunting lodge in the 19th century.

To the west of the castle height large late urnfield and Hallstatt period settlement or burial ground (Hallstatt princely grave), Roman manor (?), Small Carolingian-Slavic hilltop settlement near the castle, moat, outer huge moat, probably a military camp of the Hungarian Wars 1st half of the 11th century. Century.

The plague column was erected in the 18th century in memory of the plague that plagued Pitten several times. The mosaic comes from Sepp Buchner .

The parish church, built in 1732, was built in its present form in 1951 and consecrated to St. George by Theodor Innitzer . 1972 renovated again. For the restored medieval larch wood bell chair, the parish received four new bells from the Rudolf Perner bell foundry in 2011 , which, together with the large bell of the old steel bell, form a 5-part bell.

Medieval hall building with a 3/8 end rounded on the inside. Gable roof with a small turret and three buttresses on the west side and on the apse. Originally with its own cemetery, abolished under Emperor Joseph II . Reconstruction in 1838 (after being spared from cholera in 1831).
