EC Soest

The EC Soest was founded in 1970. In 1971 the team rose to the Regionalliga Nord and was penultimate there in the following season 1971/72. The low point of the season was a 1:33 defeat at Duisburger SC on January 22, 1972. The 1972/73 season ended the Soester in fifth. As a result of a league reform and the introduction of a 2nd Bundesliga , EC Soest played in the Oberliga Nord from 1973 . Although the league was managed in the 1973/74 season, but had to stop playing after the bankruptcy .

ESC Soest

As a successor club, the ESC Soest was founded, which rose in its first season in the Regionalliga West, but in the following season 1975/76 with 2:22 points to be bottom of the table. At the end of the season, the club withdrew the team. After many years in the top division of North Rhine-Westphalia , the Soesters were promoted to the Regionalliga West again in 1990. The team stayed here for two years before the club voluntarily withdrew the team to the NRW state league in 1992 . When the team was withdrawn against their will in 1996, twelve players founded Soester EG on December 5, 1996 .
