Ems Jade Mission

The Ems-Jade-Mission (abbreviated EJM ) was founded in 1988 as a regional association of 16 Evangelical Free Churches in the northwest corner of Germany. The seat of the association within the Evangelical Free Church Regional Association Northwest is Jever .

history

The Ems-Jade-Mission was originally created to accompany and financially support the establishment of an Evangelical Free Church in Esens . In the meantime, the areas of responsibility have expanded considerably. In 1998 the position of regional pastor was established and in 1999 it was first filled.

aims

The EJM sits down u. a. for the following goals:

  • Planning and implementation of joint evangelistic projects in the region between Ems and Jade
  • Implementation of training courses and seminars in the affiliated communities
  • Support of small communities in the region
  • New establishment of Evangelical-Free Church communities and their support

organization

The communities of the regional association send members to the staff meetings of the Ems-Jade-Mission , which take place six to seven times a year in different places. The staff meeting decides on budgetary issues, elects the management of the EJM and organizes the joint activities.
