history

The company was originally founded in 1978 by Heinz-Gerhard Redeker as Elektronik Literatur Verlag GmbH and is still the publisher of the electronics trade journal with the highest circulation in Germany, ELVjournal .

In 1991, in addition to the ELVjournal, the first ELV catalog was published, which had 164 pages and also contained merchandise .

In 1992, the ELV-TimeMaster personnel time recording system was launched on the market as an in-house development and has since been sold in German-speaking countries. The hardware is also developed and produced in-house.

In 2000, Elektronik Literatur Verlag GmbH was converted into a stock corporation and was given the current name ELV Elektronik AG .

In 2017, the browser-based time recording Timemaster WEB was published, for which own hardware is also developed and produced.
