EM tires ( english Earthmover Tire Molds , dt. Earthmover ) are among the biggest tire in the world and are mainly in Erdbewegungsbereich used.

The largest EM tire in the world is manufactured by the Michelin company and has an outside diameter of approx. 4.60 m (63 rim diameter). The total weight is 6 t per tire, the cost per wheel is around € 33,000. The tire structure is similar to that of a conventional tire, the profile of the tires to that of agricultural tires . The main focus is on the static friction in rough terrain and on the load-bearing capacity on loamy soil. The service life of an EM tire for dump trucks is around six months.

The heating time for vulcanizing an EM tire is approx. 24 hours before the tire can be lifted out of the press by crane. In comparison, the heating time for vulcanization in conventional car tires is around 6 to 10 minutes.
