Hans Ferdinand Fuhs
Hans Ferdinand Fuhs (born December 20, 1942 in Bad Godesberg ) is a German theologian and orientalist and professor of the Old Testament at the Philosophical-Theological Faculty in Paderborn .
Life
Hans Ferdinand Fuhs studied in Bonn , Freiburg , Jerusalem , Cairo and Addis Ababa trays Catholic theology and Oriental Studies . In 1966 he received his doctorate in philology from the University of Bonn in the fields of Semitic and Islamic Studies . In 1969 he received the sacrament of ordination , and in 1971 he received his doctorate in theology in Bonn. In 1977 the University of Bamberg awarded him See and Look on the basis of his habilitation thesis . The root hzh in the Old Orient and in the Old Testament the title of Dr. theol. habil. In 1982 he was appointed professor for the history and environment of the Old Testament and biblical-oriental languages at the University of Würzburg. In 1986 he was appointed Professor of Exegesis of the Old Testament at the Theological Faculty in Paderborn.
In addition to his university duties, Fuhs was parish administrator in Würzburg- Oberdürrbach from 1982 to 1993 . Since his release in April 2008, he has been active as a pastor in the pastoral care area of Veytal.
