EMUF ( single-board microcomputer for universal fixed programming ) was a widespread single-board type for self-construction based on the 6504 - CPU (650x family), the Z80 and later other processor families in the 1980s .

The first single-board computer of this name was published by Franzis-Verlag in the computer magazine mc in 1981. Herwig Feichtinger was responsible for developing the 6504-EMUF. The EMUF was a single-board computer in Euro card format (100 × 160 mm). The price at that time for the complete kit was less than 100 DM (equivalent to around 100 € in 2020) and made it possible to build a functioning computer for control purposes.
