Soulounge
Soulounge is a German band that was founded in spring 2001 by Sven Bünger and Bela Brauckmann (both active in the Cultured Pearls ). Other members were Astrid North, Susanne Vogel and Thomas Werner. A permanent band line-up formed the foundation and was expanded with ever changing instrumental and vocal guests. The regular club is and was the Quasimodo in Berlin .
The band developed into one of the most renowned German soul bands. A number of the guest artists used their appearances as a springboard, B. Ayọ , Johannes Oerding , Miss Platnum or Roger Cicero . Soulounge disbanded in December 2010.
In 2017 the band was revived by band leader Sven Bünger with 3 new members: Markus Kuczewski (keyboards & Hammond organ), Silvan Strauss (drums) and Daniel Stritzke (bass).
