Annette Marquard

Annette Marquard (born May 2, 1964 in Hagen ) is a German jazz and pop singer.

Life

Marquard grew up as the fourth child of a musically gifted family in Westphalia and Hesse . From the age of eight, Marquard was musically influenced by voice training, choir work and piano lessons, among others at the Hochsch Konservatorium in Frankfurt am Main. Further training in jazz singing, songwriting and stage work followed parallel to my degree in social education in Frankfurt am Main. In 1994 Marquard started her own business as a singer and lecturer.

Through bands from the Rhein-Main area such as Club Supreme Band or Boxer , Marquard came to 3p (Pelham Power Productions) and sang two tours for Sabrina Setlur . Jobs for Sarah Connor , Chris Rea and support gigs for Elton John , Eros Ramazzotti , Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson followed .

From 2002 to 2008 Marquard sang Backings for Xavier Naidoo , with whom she already worked under 3p . In 2008 the collaboration with the MTV unplugged production "Wettsingen in Schwetzingen" ended.

With the program “Between Heaven & Earth” the Annette Marquard Quintet u. a. To experience 2003 in the Schauspielhaus Bochum . At Lit.Cologne 2014 she performed with the Alexander Paeffgen Trio .

Teaching

After teaching at the Future Music School and the Rocksound Music School in Aschaffenburg and the SRG Music School in Offenbach am Main , a teaching position at the HfMDK Frankfurt followed in 1998 . Since 2003 Marquard has been working as a professor and department chief in the bachelor's and master’s degree at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg and as a lecturer at the Federal Academy for Young Musicians in Trossingen. In 2006 her textbook Vocal Practice (PPV-Medien Verlag) was published.

At the end of 2009 she began teaching a band project for the German Music Council and the Popcamp under the direction of Henning Rümenapp and Michael Talkemeier.
