Miss Platnum (born September 27, 1980 in Timișoara , Socialist Republic of Romania ; actually Ruth Maria Renner ) is a German - Romanian musician and composer .
Life
Renner's father belongs to the Romanian-German minority of the Banat Swabians , her mother is Romanian . She moved from Timișoara to Berlin at the age of eight . There she went to school in the Lichterfelde district . She took singing lessons from Jocelyn B. Smith and worked in their band and Moabeat as a backing singer.
Renner married director Chehad Abdallah in September 2017.
Works
After their first, comparatively neglected album Rock Me , their second album Chefa was released on May 25, 2007 , which is characterized by a mixture of hip-hop , soul , R&B , dancehall and Romanian musical elements and was produced by the Krauts . The first single released on May 11, 2007 was the song Give Me the Food . Come Marry Me was released on August 24, 2007 in collaboration with Pete Fox , a member of the Seeed group , with whom she appeared on stage at open-air concerts in Hamburg, Coburg, Bremen, Bonn, Herdringen and Berlin. The single entered the German charts at number 90 . In Romania the artist celebrated greater success. The single Give Me the Food made it into the top 20 of the local charts.
When Designerama 2007 led Miss Platnum for the background music.
On the 2007 Fornika tour of the Fantastischen Vier , Miss Platnum appeared with her band as the opening act. In 2009 she was on tour as a background singer for Peter Fox and presented her upcoming single She Moved In , for which Peter Fox also shot the video. Miss Platnum also worked on the album Fortunately in the future of rapper Marteria , released in August 2010, and on the tour of the same name.

Two years later she started the project Lila Wolken with Marteria and Yasha , whom she already knew from Moabeat, which resulted in an EP with five songs together. After the EP was released on September 14, 2012, the title song immediately rose to number one in the German single charts .
In March 2014, their first German-language album, Glück und Petrol, was released .
In autumn 2014 she represented her federal state of Berlin at the Bundesvision Song Contest 2014 with her song Hüftgold Berlin and took twelfth place.
In 2015 she was part of the jury for the eleventh season of Popstars on RTL II . In October of that year, their fifth and second German-language album “Ich war hier” was released.
In 2019 "The Opera" followed, which was created together with the Cologne music producer Bazzazian .
