Yasha Conen (* 1981 in Berlin ) is a German rapper , singer and songwriter .

biography

Yasha Conen comes from the Berlin district of Moabit and formed the hip-hop quartet Moabeat with his brother David and two other rappers from the neighborhood . After the separation in 2004, Yasha went on alone, while his brother David alias Monk and DJ Illvibe formed the producer duo The Krauts . These also produced the Rostock Marteria and Miss Platnum , who had already sung for Moabeat. On the album Fortunately in the future by Marteria, which was released in 2010, both Miss Platnum and Yasha were then represented as guest musicians. The title Verstrahlt von Marteria und Yasha was the most successful release from the album and reached the top 40 in Germany and Austria.

Even after the album, the three performers and the two producers stayed connected and started the joint project Lila Wolken in 2012 . In advance, they published the song Feuer for free download on the project website , before the joint EP Lila Wolken with five titles was released on September 14th . The title song went straight to number 1 in the German single charts .

In May 2013, Yasha signed with Four Music , the same label that Marteria and Miss Platnum have signed. At the same time he published the song Killing Me with Lexy & K-Paul , in which he sings in English for the first time. His debut album Weltraumtourist was released at the end of July . Before that, the single Strand was released , which made it into the top 20 of the German sales charts.
