ENEC is the European conformity mark for electrical devices

ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) is a symbol for product labeling of electrical appliances in the European Union.

meaning

In contrast to the CE mark , the ENEC mark is not a mere self-declaration by the manufacturer, but is issued by independent testing institutes. The certification is the by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization approved (CENELEC) institutions reserved.

The ENEC marking ensures that the product meets the relevant EN safety standards and performance test requirements, in particular the EU Low Voltage Directive , the manufacturer works with a quality system in accordance with ISO 9000 , end products are re-tested every two years and the manufacturer has documented production controls, e.g. . Testing and certification are based on tests according to EN standards. The manufacture of the product is checked by an accredited inspection body such as Electrosuisse . The certification guarantees constant conformity of the product and thus enables access to the EU market.
