The European standard EN 61558 deals with transformers at primary voltages up to 1100 volts. General requirements and tests are described in Part 1 of the standard. Part 2 describes the special types of transformers, such as B. Safety transformers (Part 2‑6) or switched-mode power supply transformers (Part 2‑16) are each listed as a separate standard, which, however, refers to Part 1 for the basic requirements.
