Eagle Bay (German: Adlerbucht ) is a bay on the island of Rottnest Island in the Australian state of Western Australia .

geography

The bay is 200 meters wide and opens to the north-west. It is the second westernmost bay on the island; to the west is only the smaller Fish Hook Bay . To the east is Mable Cove. Kings Head is between Eagle Bay and Mable Cove . 470 meters to the west is the Cathedral Rocks , a collection of rocks in the water. The bay has a sandy beach.

Events

In November 2015, a diver drowned in the bay. When the skipper of a leisure ship went overboard at sea and drowned, it crashed uncontrollably against the rocks of the bay at the end of December 2016.
