Earl Attlee
Earl Attlee is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award and subordinate titles
The title was awarded on December 16, 1955 to the former British Prime Minister Clement Attlee . With the earliest title he was also the subordinate title Viscount Prestwood , of Walthamstow in the County of Essex , bestowed. This is used by the heir to the title as a courtesy title .
