Eastern Europe Music Convention

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Eastern Europe Music Convention EEMC for short was the first and only music fair in Eastern Europe .

During the so-called "White Nights", the EEMC 2006 took place for the second time in St. Petersburg, Russia.

The venue on June 2nd and 3rd, 2006 was the so-called "Manege" in the city center of St. Petersburg. The "Manege" is right next to the Herimitage and in close proximity to Nevsky Prospect.

The EEMC was a trade fair and was aimed at trade visitors from all over the world who are active in the music industry. The genre of music (e.g. dance, hip-hop, R'nB, classical) played no role. Everyone was welcome, labels, distributors, publishers, radio stations, DJs, singers and so on.

The aim of the fair was to further strengthen the so far little developed cooperation between Western European and Eastern European companies in the music industry. The EEMC was intended to give the international participants the opportunity to get to know the Eastern European music industry better and to establish new partnerships for the future through direct contacts.

At the EEMC, in addition to the organizers' exhibition stands, there should also be various accompanying events such as lectures, seminars, discussions and of course parties and concerts. This should offer the participants an optimal framework for their business discussions.

Due to the generally poor outlook and the difficult situation of the Russian and international music industry, the third edition of the fair was canceled prematurely.
