The Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management University (EIILM University) is a private university based in Jorethang , district South Sikkim , State of Sikkim , India . The facility, which opened in 2006, is owned and chaired by Vinay Kumar Rai. A second campus was in Budang , West Sikkim . Another campus was on Mauritius . In 2013 there were 275 students.

The university offered distance learning but was never recognized by the Distance Education Council (DEC).

Sunil Jeetah, CEO of the Mauritius campus, was the brother of Rajeshwar Jeetah , Minister of Tertiary Education in Mauritius. In 2011 there were already problems with the approval of the campus in Mauritius. Sunil Jeetah described the problem as being purely politically motivated.

Vinay Kumar Rai was arrested at Bagdogra Airport on May 7, 2013 on charges of selling counterfeit titles ; Vice-Chancellor OB Vijayan, Registrar Alok Bhandari and Examination Chairman V. Dahiya were also arrested. The allegations were: forgery, fraud and formation of a criminal organization.

The university has been closed since December 2014; the students were relocated. A counter-motion by the operator remained unsuccessful with a court decision on October 15, 2014.
