easydb is an operating system-independent , web-based software developed by the Berlin company Programmfabrik GmbH since 2003 for the management of digital media content (technical assets) such as images, videos, music and office files ( image management software ). easydb can be used to enter assets including their metadata or keywording, but also for research and publication. The current version 5 has been available since 2017.
easydb is used by universities, authorities and companies, often as an intranet application, but also to provide content for the public.
Adjustments are not programmed in easydb, but created with easydb creator. The easydb creator is a web-based tool with which complex data models can be modeled.

easydb is used in variants in different areas of application:
- easydb.digitalasset : Digital asset management software for the administration, organization and distribution of digital assets and usage licenses.
- easydb.university : Media and metadata repository and slide library system to support teaching and research at universities and research institutes
- easydb.museum : Collection object management software for the scientific indexing and presentation of collection objects
- easydb.archive : Database software for archiving in district and cityscape locations as well as media centers, but also in classic archives.
- easydb.individual : Realization of individual solutions for the organization of media and metadata
