Eau de Cologne

Eau de Cologne ( EdC; more rarely / French: edc, EDC) denotes:

  • originally the fragrance produced by Johann Maria Farina ; At the end of the 18th century, this became the generic term for a light fragrance
  • Perfume with at least 70% alcohol and 2–5% perfume oil, see Perfume # dilution classes
  • Original Eau de Cologne, the protected designation of origin, see colognes
