The Ebel Hills are a group of rugged hills in East Antarctic Victoria Land . They rise up at the head of Frazier Glacier , where it drops from the edge of Webb Cirque east of Skew Peak . They are spread over a length of 2.5 km and reach heights of up to 2300 m .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names made the nomination in 2007. It is named after Michael Scott Ebel (* 1956), maintenance technician at the McMurdo station in five Antarctic summer campaigns from 2003 onwards, who also worked at this station every year between 1988 and 2007, with one exception.
