Eberhard Goldhahn

Eberhard Goldhahn (born March 8, 1927 in Bernsbach ) is a lawyer and former CDU politician. In 1990 he represented his party in the Volkskammer and Bundestag .

Professional activity

After attending elementary school in Bernsbach in the Ore Mountains, Goldhahn graduated from commercial school in Aue from 1940 to 1943. Goldhahn was later called up for military service. He was captured by the Americans and released in 1946. He then passed his Abitur at the Leipzig Business School in 1947 and then studied law in Leipzig until 1950. Goldhahn only passed his first state examination in law. In 1951 he found a job at the headquarters of the German Investment Bank, later the GDR's industrial and commercial bank in Berlin. He worked there until 1969. During this time he graduated from the Berlin School of Economics in 1967 as a Dr. jur. PhD . Subject of the dissertationwas the subject of legal problems of granting interest-bearing investment loans to state-owned industrial companies . In 1969 Goldhahn moved to the Humboldt University in Berlin . There he initially worked as the Vice-Rector's scientific secretary until 1970. He then taught as a university lecturer in financial law at the Economics Section until 1991. During his teaching activities, he was awarded a Dr. sc. jur. PhD at his university. The topic of the dissertation this time was problems of the current and future legal regulation of the financial relations of the state-owned economy in the GDR . Goldhahn has been retired since 1992.

He lives in Blankenfelde , is married and a father of three.

Political activity

Goldhahn joined the CDU as early as 1947. For his party, he sat on the Blankenfelde municipal council from 1965 to 1990. In 1990 the CDU put him up as a candidate for the Volkskammer elections. He received 4th place on the list in constituency 12 (Potsdam district). Since his party won 8 seats, Goldhahn became a member of the Volkskammer. At the suggestion of his party, he was also elected as a party representative to the People's Chamber Presidium. Goldhahn was still one of the 144 MPs who entered the Bundestag on October 3, 1990. He stayed there until December 20, 1990.
