Eberhard Schmidt (musician)
Eberhard Schmidt (born May 2, 1930 in Berlin ; † November 25, 2011 ) was a German teacher and music functionary.
Life, accomplishments and work
Schmidt studied school music in Berlin and began teaching at the age of 24 in Bad Iburg, among other places . From 1961 to 1990 he was a teacher of English and music at the Tellkampf School in Hanover. For 20 years he directed the Hanoverian men's choir "Augustus Choir". From 1966 to 1988 he was a member of the main committee at Jugend musiziert . Between 1980 and 1993 he was President of the Lower Saxony Music Council .
