Life

Amir Ebrahim Alam Shokat ol-molk was appointed governor of Birjand by Mozaffar ad-Din Shah .

He supported Reza Shah in his reform efforts. Alam became Minister of Post and Telegraph in the cabinet of Prime Minister Mohammad Ali Foroughi .

Ebrahim Alam owned what was then the largest private company in Iran , which was neglected by his son Asadollah Alam due to his political involvement and later abandoned entirely.
