Eckhard Lietzow

Eckhard Lietzow (* 1943) is a German bird breeder, nature photographer and non-fiction author.

In 1984, 1985, 1990, 1994, 1996 and 2000 he was the national winner in the Agapornis / Forpus category in the competition of the Association of Breeders of Large Parakeet and Parrot Species in the Association for Species Protection, Avian Keeping and Aviculture (AZ) . In 1999 and 2011 he was awarded the AZ Leopold Keidel Prize, and in 2007 he was awarded the Large AZ Gold Medal. Since 2008 he has been a member of the AZ's Honorary Council . He published regularly in bird magazines such as the Parrot , Feathered World or the AZ bird information .
