Ed Solo

Ed Solo (real name Eddie Bickley ) is a British DJ and music producer.

Bickley used alongside Ed Solo et al. a. also the stage names Ed Hicks and Red Polo . His first release dates from 1996: together with Dave Stone he released Click and Cycle , The Danger and 125th Street on the Emotif Recordings label. The productions are to be assigned to the genre jungle or drum and bass , like most of the following years. With his first "solo" publications he adopted the name Ed Solo . Ed Solo and Click and Cycle are taken from certain functions of the Cubase program .

Together with Australian artist Skool of Thought , he produced the Nu-Skool Breaks album Random Acts of Kindness , which was released in 2007. Ed Solo released several 12 "vinyls with JFB (Jean-Marc Preisler) under his Sludge label from 2008 to 2010. A well-known production from this period is a dubstep remix of the techno song The Age of Love (Title: Age of Dub ).

DJ Deekline (aka Nick Annand) became aware of Ed Solo even before 2005 . They started working together and have been releasing singles and EPs annually since 2005, including remixes such as B. by Manu Chao , Adele and Rihanna as well as new productions. The tracks (mainly Drum and Bass / Jungle (with Reggae influences) and Breakbeat (Nu-Skool Breaks)) appear under their own label, Hot Cakes.
