Eda Jahns
Eda Jahns (born March 15, 1939 in Graz ) is a German politician ( SPD ).
Jahns worked as an accountant. For the SPD, which she joined in 1971, she sat on the city council in Wissen (Sieg) , in the district council of the Altenkirchen district and from 1987 to 2001 in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . Since 1984 she has also been a member of the workers' welfare organization. In 1999 she became chairwoman of the care association there, and a year later chairwoman of the professional association of care associations of the AWO in Rhineland-Palatinate. In 2012 she was elected honorary chairman of the care associations of the AWO Altenkirchen and Sieg-Westerwald.
Jahns has been widowed since 2016 and has four children.
