Eddy Seel

Eddy Seel , called Rooster (born April 23, 1970 in Verviers , Belgium ) is a Belgian supermoto driver and world champion.

Career

Eddy Seel began his training in motorsport in 1975 and drove his first race in 1980. In 1982 he won the Belgian Junior Motocross Championship in the beginners' category in the 80 cm³ class , in 1983 in the junior category and 1985 in the senior category . After that, Seel moved to the 125 cc class and won the junior championship in the entry-level category there in 1986.

In 1987, Seel changed from the junior championship to the regular championship and drove in the 125 cc class in the entry-level category. Two years later he won this championship. In 1989 he also entered the world championship in the 125 cm³ class.

Until 1996 went Seel exclusively in the Motocross Championship, from 1997 he also drove in Supermoto -Wettkämpfen, since 2001 only Supermoto. His motorcycle is a Husqvarna SMR 450.

His greatest successes in motocross were Belgium champions (125 cm³) in 1989 and 18th in the world championships (125 cm³) in 1994. In the supermoto championships, his greatest successes are Belgian runners-up in 1997 and 2000, European and Italian champions in 2001, and world champions ( S1) 2003.
