Eden FX

Eden FX is an American company that specializes in special effects for movies, TV series and commercials. The company is based in Hollywood , Los Angeles , California .

Company history

Eden FX was founded in 2000 by John Gross and Mark Miller . John Gross began his career as a founding member of Amblin Imaging . The team at Amblin created innovative effects for the seaQuest DSV TV series . From 1996 to 2000, Gross owned Digital Muse , a successful company that created visual effects for TV series such as the X-Files , Star Trek and Sliders .

Mark Miller used to be a television technician and technical director at CBS , then he was President of United Video in Hollywood and later manager of the successful Digital Magic company from 1998 to 2000, which created visual effects for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel , among others .

Eden FX specializes in computer-generated imagery effects, which have now replaced the old model technology, especially in TV series, because it is much cheaper.

In 2004, the episode "Countdown" of the Star Trek: Enterprise series received an Emmy for the visual effects produced by EdenFX.
