The Edgell Bay is a 2.5 km wide and as long bay on the northeastern side of Nelson Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands .
The bay is first shown on a map from 1822 by the British seal hunter George Powell . Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations re-mapped and named between 1934 and 1935. It is named after Vice Admiral John Augustine Edgell (1880–1962), hydrographer in the Royal Navy from 1932 to 1945.
