Edhilt Rochell

Edhilt Rochell (born July 14, 1925 in Berlin ) is a German former stage and film actress .

Live and act

After graduating from secondary school in the middle of World War II, the daughter of an advertising architect attended the city of Berlin's fashion school and completed an apprenticeship as a fashion designer. In the late phase of the war she also attended the UFA film academy, took acting lessons from Franz Weber and was offered her first film roles shortly before the end of the war (1944/45).

After the end of the war, Edhilt Rochell joined several Berlin venues (Berlin Ring Theater, ORSON Association of Young Actors, Thalia Theater, Genschow-Stobrawa Theater, Comedy, etc.), did dubbing work for the east zonal DEFA and also took part in the early 1950s resumed her work in (now West German) film. On the screen she was seen in mostly small roles (e.g. as a mannequin in The Girl from Ready-to-Wear , as a secretary in Viktor and Viktoria ) in less ambitious entertainment stories.

The actress was married to her colleague Heinz Lausch , five years her senior , whom she had met in 1944 while filming Spring Melody, and had a daughter with him.
