The Edificio Confitería La Americana is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The building, constructed in 1937, is located in Barrio Centro on Avenida 18 de Julio 1216-1220 between Zelmar Michelini and Carlos Quijano streets . The architects E. Carlomagno , A. Bouza and E. González Fruniz were responsible for the construction. In the original concept, it served as a residential apartment block and housed a confitería . It now has offices, a shopping arcade and church rooms. The building is assigned to modern architecture with expressive lines.

The Edificio Confitería La Americana has been classified as a Bien de Interés Municipal since 1995 .
