Edificio Santos

The Edificio Santos, also known as Depósito Santos , is a building in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo .

The building, erected around 1900, is located in the Ciudad Vieja on Rambla 25 de Agosto de 1825 at the port of Montevideo . Information about the architect is not available. In 1995 and 1997, renovations were under the direction of architect JC Ortega , as well as the architect consortium to E. Cagnoli, E. De Soto, R. Greco, C.Gutiérrez, M. Tyler and D. Oromi instead. Originally used as a warehouse, the 13-meter-high, three-story building now houses office space and serves as the seat of the Uruguayan Ministry of Tourism and Sports (Ministerio de Turismo y Deportes) .
