The Edinburgh Hockey Club is a 1958 Edinburgh Civil Service was established hockey club of the Scottish capital Edinburgh . During the 1950s, the Inverleith Hockey Club grew rapidly, so some members decided to establish another hockey club in Edinburgh. The club, playing in blue and white, is based in Meggetland in the south-west of Edinburgh. The men's team was the dominant one in Scotland during the 1970 and 1980 years, but in 2016 it is only represented in the third division. The women, on the other hand, play in the highest Scottish league.
