The Edition Axel Menges is an international publisher in the fields of architecture , art and design . Most of the publications deal with works from the 20th and 21st centuries; The program also contains important contributions to the achievements of earlier centuries. Edition was founded in 1994.
owner
The owners are the publishers Axel Menges and Dorothea Duwe. After studying architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and working for two years in Egon Eiermann's office, Axel Menges worked for 15 years as a lecturer under Gerd Hatje . So far he has supervised around 500 publications. Dorothea Duwe studied German, philosophy and history at the Free University of Berlin and was a lecturer at Ernst & Sohn in Berlin before founding the publishing house.
Publications
The edition publishes between 15 and 25 titles annually, the backlist includes almost 300 titles. In the Opus series , individual buildings of international standing are presented in detail with texts by renowned authors and mostly photographs taken especially for the individual volumes.
