Edito ( spelling : EDITO ) is a Swiss specialist magazine for media and journalism . It deals with media work , media trends, media policy , education and training and reports on media ethics and media law issues.

Edito appears in German and French, in print and online. The German-language print edition has a WEMF - certified circulation of 6'338 (previous year 6'577.) Sold or 6'534 (previous year 6'791.) Distributed copies, the French-language print edition of 3,773 (prev. 2,763) sold or 3,801 (previous year 2,763) copies distributed (total circulation 10,111; previous year 9,340 sold or 10,335; previous year 9,554 copies distributed).

The editor-in-chief is Nina Fargahi, and editor-in-chief in French-speaking Switzerland is Jean-Luc Wenger. The magazine is published by Ivo Bachmann .

Edito emerged in 2009 from the magazines of the media unions SSM , Gazette , and impressum , journalisten.ch . In 2011, the media magazine Klartext from the syndicom union (previously Comedia ) joined them. Edito still had the middle name Klartext until the end of 2016 .
