Ivo Bachmann

Ivo Bachmann (born April 4, 1963 in Rain LU ) is a Swiss journalist and publisher.

Life

Bachmann was initially an employee and editor of daily and weekly newspapers in Central Switzerland as well as a freelance worker for the Tages-Anzeiger magazine .

In 1986 he became editor and in 1988 deputy editor-in-chief of the consumer magazine Observer . From 1996 he was editor-in-chief of the Observer and a member of the management of Jean Frey AG in Zurich . In 2002 he moved to the Ringier magazine management team . From the end of 2003 to the end of 2006 he was editor-in-chief of the Basler Zeitung and a member of the management team of Basler Zeitung Medien . In 2011 he initiated the TagesWoche in Basel, which he accompanied in its initial phase as Chairman of the Board of Directors (until the end of 2012) or as a member of the Board of Directors (until mid-2014) of “Neue Medien Basel AG”.

Since 2007 he has been the owner and managing director of the media company "bachmann medien ag", which among other things publishes the Swiss media magazine EDITO .

Ivo Bachmann lives near Lucerne.
