Edmund Hainisch

Edmund Hainisch (born February 11, 1895 in Stockerau , † February 1, 1985 in Tulln an der Donau ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and bookseller. From 1949 to 1959, Hainisch was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Hainisch did his military service from 1914 to 1918 during the First World War and was wounded several times during this time. Hainisch worked as a bookseller in Stockerau, after the Nazis came to power he was arrested in 1938. After the end of the Second World War , he represented the ÖVP in the Lower Austrian state parliament between November 5, 1949 and June 4, 1959, and from 1947 to 1970 he was the head of the Lower Austrian board for the book and paper trade. In addition, Hainisch was a member of the Chamber of Commerce of the Federal Chamber of Commerce and was given the professional title of Kommerzialrat .
