Eduard Douša

Eduard Douša (born August 31, 1951 in Prague ) is a Czech composer.

Douša studied musicology at the Charles University in Prague until 1971 . He continued his training in music theory and composition at the Prague Music Academy with Jiří Dvořáček , Jiří Laburda , Vladimír Sommer and Václav Dobiáš . He is professor at the Conservatory and the Faculty of Musicology at Charles University.

In addition to orchestral works, chamber music and works for solo instruments, Douša has composed music for more than 100 fairy tale programs as well as mini-operas and songs for children for the Czech radio.
