Eduard Rittinghaus (born April 3, 1830 in Elberfeld , † after 1898) was a German engraver of the Düsseldorf School and sculptor .

Rittinghaus, son of the jeweler Eduard Rittinghaus (1805-1859), studied from 1849 to 1864 at the Düsseldorf Art Academy . There he was a student in Rudolf Wiegmann's construction class and Joseph Keller's engraving class . Rittinghaus lived in Düsseldorf, where he belonged to the Malkasten artists' association . He engraved more than 20 plates for the Association for the Dissemination of Religious Images . As a sculptor, Rittinghaus created the war memorial in Gerresheim, which was erected in 1872 .
